What we keep. What we don’t.
Last updated October 8, 2026. Written in plain language; this is the operative policy for CarCloser.
How do notifications work?
Push notifications are optional. If you enable them, we store a device subscription and encryption keys, your chosen timezone, notification preferences and delivery status. Your browser push provider delivers alerts, which may appear on your lock screen. Alerts do not include transcripts or coaching. You can disconnect a device or switch off all pushes in notification settings. Eligible store reps can send limited in-app challenges; turn off direct challenges to stop new invitations. Expired notification records are removed after 30 days by the delivery scheduler.
Is my microphone audio stored?
CarCloser does not save voice clips in your drill history. Voice clips are sent for transcription, and AI reply text is sent for speech generation. Providers process these requests under their own service terms and retention settings; this is not a promise of zero provider retention. You can use text input instead of your microphone.
Are transcripts retained?
Yes. The text transcript of each drill is saved to your account so you can review it in your history, so your report card can quote what you actually said, and so retrying the same objection can be compared to your earlier attempt.
Can anyone at my store see my recordings or transcripts?
No. There are no recordings to access, and transcripts, the AI customer's lines, and your written coaching feedback are never shown to other players, your store, or your manager.
What do other players see if I join a store?
Your nickname, your store and city, your scores, objections and difficulty, drill, streak and XP counts, and any trophies or badges. That's the same information shown on every leaderboard. Turn off leaderboards on the Community page and you're hidden from store boards too.
Can I delete my account and data?
Email evoworks.app@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion. We verify ownership before acting and explain any legal or security retention limits. Deletion includes reviewing linked drill and review records, store memberships and active sharing links, not just removing your login. We cannot recall report images downloaded or reposted by other people. Withdrawing analytics consent stops future collection; contact us about deleting previously collected data.
What we collect
Your email address and password (or Google sign-in), the objections and difficulties you drill, drill transcripts, scores and coaching feedback, optional dealership brand, and, only if you allow it, usage analytics (page views, selected product actions, drill completion and referral categories). We do not sell this data.
Your analytics choice
Analytics is off until you select Allow analytics. Allow and Decline are equally available, and neither affects access to drills. Use Privacy choices at the bottom of any page on desktop, or the button below on any device, to change your choice. We keep this preference in your browser and still use necessary storage for login and product functions. Clearing browser storage or using another browser requires a new choice.
If allowed, analytics uses browser identifiers and your account ID when signed in. This is pseudonymous data, not anonymous data. Our analytics integration does not send your email, drill transcript or written feedback, and automatic click capture and session replay are disabled. PostHog may also receive network and device information when your browser connects. We keep referral categories for measurement only after consent.
Declining clears this browser’s analytics identifiers and attribution and stops future analytics events. It does not erase information already received by us or our providers. Earlier versions of CarCloser sent account IDs and email addresses to analytics; contact us for requests concerning that historical data.
Retention
Account information, drill transcripts and feedback remain available for your history until removed through our deletion process. We also review support and quality-review records when handling a request. Provider logs and backups can have separate retention periods. Contact us for the retention details relevant to your request; we do not promise instant removal from every backup.
Who processes it
Supabase provides account authentication and database storage. Lovable’s AI gateway sends drill text to Google Gemini for roleplay and evaluation and voice clips to a transcription service. OpenAI generates spoken replies. PostHog US Cloud receives optional analytics. These services may process information outside Canada, where other laws can apply. Contact us for information about our service providers, processing locations and privacy practices. Authorized operators may access records to support users, investigate faults and review AI feedback quality. Do not enter real customer names, contact information, financial details or other confidential information into drills.
Sharing and Floor Challenges
Sharing is opt-in. A shared report card image or Floor Challenge link contains your grade, score, objection and difficulty, not your transcript, coaching notes or name. Challenge links expire and can be revoked from your account.
Leaderboards
Signed-in players appear on the Community leaderboards by default under a nickname you choose (or an automatic one like "Closer4821"), with an optional dealership or city. Only your nickname, store, scores, objections, difficulty and drill, streak and XP counts are shown, never your email, transcripts or feedback. The top 3 per objection can appear on public library pages. Turn this off anytime on the Community page and you're removed right away.
